We have a vacancy for a Team Leader post in West Berkshire covering the West Locality. The team is based in Newbury serving the town and surrounding communities.  This is an opportunity to be part of the continued development of Adult Care in West Berkshire as we respond to the Care Act 2014, building on the strengths of people and their local communities.  We need flexible and innovative people to take the team forward and effectively lead them on a day to day basis.

The team is well established and consists of dedicated Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Social Care Practitioners and is supported by our Administration Team.

We require the postholder to have an Occupational Therapy or Social Work qualification with at least 5 years post-qualifying experience and relevant experience as a manager, able to give specialist advice to the team as well as to carry out supervisory and management functions, and deputise for the Locality Manager as required.

Although the Management qualification is listed as essential, candidates who do not hold this qualification but are willing to obtain this will be offered the opportunity to further develop their leadership skills.
