An exciting opportunity has arisen within Adult Social Care, working within the Reablement service. This is one of the key areas of work and will be a terrific opportunity for the right person. You will be part of the Night Warden team who provide cover for the Service during the hours of 20:30pm to 06:00am working 7 days on, 7 days off. You will visit Service Users in their homes and provide them with the “hands on” care they need at these times of day/night and provide a response service to the Out of Hours Duty Coordinator.
You must be committed to the role, be conscientious, discreet, hard working and organised. A current driving license and access to a vehicle are required of the role and a good geographical knowledge of the West Berks Council area would be an advantage. Experience within the care sector and Level 2 in Health and Social Care are essential.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.

This role requires the incumbent to have a car available at work to undertake his/her duties as they will be expected to undertake at least 1500 business miles per year. Essential Car User status attracts a lump sum allowance paid on a monthly basis as well as a free car parking space if he/she works at one of the Council’s corporate buildings.
