We are seeking to appoint a YOT Officer to the West Berkshire Youth Offending Team. This is a post for someone who enjoys working in an enthusiastic and successful multi-agency team. You will work with young people to prevent them re-offending, and will be skilled and experienced at managing risk, holding high risk cases, including young people in custody and on release. Your assessments and plans will be clear and of a high standard.
To apply you will also need to have experience of court work and working with teenagers. You will need to work flexibly, including evenings and some weekends to ensure the service is delivered effectively and efficiently.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.

This role requires the incumbent to have a car available at work to undertake his/her duties as they will be expected to undertake at least 1500 business miles per year. Essential Car User status attracts a lump sum allowance paid on a monthly basis as well as a free car parking space if he/she works at one of the Council’s corporate buildings.
